The problem
Moving analytics content by hand is risky because dashboards depend on datasets, data sources, themes and permissions. A missed dependency can break the release, and manual steps are hard to repeat or audit.

Moving analytics content by hand is risky because dashboards depend on datasets, data sources, themes and permissions. A missed dependency can break the release, and manual steps are hard to repeat or audit.
The guided migration workflow supports development, test and production environments. It maps dependencies, compares versions, records approvals and keeps a history for validation or rollback.
The application was developed in phases from November 2025 to July 2026. The work moved from core asset transfer to governance, validation and a simpler task-based interface.
The workflow supports five QuickSight asset types and reorganized more than 15 navigation items into six main task areas. Approval, comparison and rollback controls are built into the release path.
